A dedicated runner took on a real marathon challenge to raise funds for Maggie’s Lanarkshire – by completing three of the lengthy races in the same month.Kenny Smith has so far collected nearly £1100 by running 26.2 miles in each of Belfast, Cumbrae and Edinburgh during May.
He focused on running as part of his recovery after cancer treatment in 2018, and chose to use this year’s epic challenge to support the centre at Monklands Hospital in Airdrie.

He turned to running as he regained his strength, and was joined by children Natasha and George as they took part in numerous running events and raised more than £3000 for Maggie’s Lanarkshire, which he had visited during his treatment.
