An inspiring East Kilbride rape survivor, who was attacked while she was pregnant, has vowed not to be silenced and to raise awareness of vile ‘beast’ Callum Rainey.Mo MacMillan has waived her rights to anonymity after Rainey, 27, was sentenced last month in Edinburgh to eight years after previously being convicted of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault.A judge praised Mo, and another woman attacked by Rainey, of Rutherglen, for their bravery after they told their stories.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Speaking to us, Mo, who later lost her baby, said she hopes that her story will warn others.The East Kilbride woman said: “I don’t want him to get the chance to do this to any other girls.“Knowing what he is like, I don’t want anyone else going through what I have gone through.“If I can spread awareness of what he has done, hopefully, it can save another girl the trauma that he put me through.“No one should be hurt by this beast again.“I will never get over it.

I may learn to live with it, but it will never go away.”The 34-year-old mother continues to experience trauma and is perpetually terrified.She added: “It has taken nearly two years for me to get justice.
