Lanarkshire naval officer honoured after being awarded with OBE

A Petersburn father-of-three has been awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for services to the Navy.Steven McAllister joined the Royal Navy at the age of just 17 and was delighted recently to be bestowed the honour by the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, .The 49-year-old now lives in Hampshire with his wife Lyndsey and three children - Jamie, Chloe and Lauren - and granddaughter, Amber, and received his medal at a glittering ceremony at Windsor CastleThe Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
