Lanark and Hamilton East MP Angela Crawley will lead a debate in Westminster on the merits of introducing a universal basic income (UBI).On Wednesday, June 15, MPs will be given the chance to debate what UBI could look like and how it could help reduce poverty and inequality in a debate in Westminster Hall.Previous studies in Finland and Germany have found that UBI can help reduce poverty levels and help people back into work.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
