Lanarkshire locals back cancer support charity to match Tunnock’s £50,000 challenge

The people of Lanarkshire have once again stepped-up a gear despite tough times to raise over £72,000 in just three months for cancer support centre, Maggie’s.

Residents took on various challenges in a bid to match-fund the £50,000 Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge that philanthropist and well known biscuiteer, Sir Boyd Tunnock had set back in August.From taking part in Firewalks and exhausting ‘Three Peaks Challenges’, walking the Glasgow Culture Crawl, and even hosting their own events including bakes sales, psychic nights, golf events and much more, people from the local area have been doing everything within their power to give back and support people with cancer.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
