Lanarkshire green group delighted at awards recognition

Members of a green-fingered Lanarkshire group have spoken of their delight after being hailed as "outstanding" by an environmental charity.

Grow 73, based in Rutherglen, were given a level 5 grade by Keep Scotland Beautiful, meaning that they were rated as outstanding and awarded a certificate of distinction.

Lanarkshire Live previously told how 11 groups across the region were honoured at the It's Your Neighbourhood virtual ceremony in December.

"What a way to finish the year off.None of this would be possible without the hard work and support all our volunteers have contributed to make our community more inclusive, more proud and more caring towards nature.
