Lanarkshire dance school celebrates world championship success

Dancers from the Hamilton-based Karen Bordon Dance Academy (KBDA) have been celebrating their success at the World Lyrical Dance Federation (WLDF) World Championships.Held in Dublin during the last weekend in July, this was the 31 young dancers first ever World Championships.And the girls, who range in ages from four to adult amassed an outstanding 89 trophies, bringing home 18 World Championship Titles and making them one of the most successful Dance Academy’s of the entire event.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Dance teacher Karen told Lanarkshire Live : "The Academy wish to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors and everyone who helped us raise funds enabling our dancers to compete at such a prestigious event. "A massive well done to everyone on such a remarkable acheivement, we are immensely proud of you all."A huge well done also to our three senior dancers from the Academy who have been awarded places on the BA Honours degree course at Millenium Performing Arts college in London this year.
