A Lanarkshire comedian needed hospital treatment after a female audience member attacked him mid-show during the Edinburgh Fringe.
Stand-up comic Colin Higgins ended up in stitches when an intoxicated woman punched him in the face. The 40-year-old, from Carluke ended up in hospital having his mouth stitched after the incident at his Edinburgh Fringe show on Friday night.
Colin said: “I got the shock of my life. Police were called and the woman was arrested. It’s the last thing you expect when you have an audience roaring with laughter.” The funnyman who is performing Painspotting at Leith Depot during the Festival, had just come off stage when the altercation occurred.
He said: “There was blood everywhere. To say I was stunned is an understatement. I didn’t know what to do.”The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
