Lanarkshire Boys' Brigade company enjoys historic day with dedication of colours

A Lanarkshire Boys' Brigade company had a historic day last month as they held a dedication of their new colours. The 217th Gilbertfield Company of the Boys' Brigade held a parade to Flemington Hallside Church in Cambuslang followed by the service, then a march past.

The church service consisted of the laying up of the old colours by way of showing appreciation for their symbol of service, and then dedicating them to the life and work of the Rt Hon Capt Charlie Black.

The new colours were then dedicated by the minister for service within the company.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
