Police probing the murder of a man in Lanark have been seen searching a house and scouring drains.A forensics team remains at the scene on Smyllum Road after officers were called to reports of an unconscious man on Saturday morning.Medics attended but a 33-year-old man, named locally as Robert Yuill, was pronounced dead a short time later.
On Sunday, officers began searching a property in the street. The Record understands that the search is linked to the ongoing murder investigation.
A cordon remains in place as forensic officers scour drains nearby where the body was found in a search for a weapon.One onlooker told the Record: "The police have been searching drains today.
They’re stopping people when they’re leaving their homes and taking their details."A house that’s near where the body was found has also been searched.
