Lady Gaga has announced her highly anticipated seventh studio album ‘Mayhem’.Announced today (January 27), ‘Mayhem’ is set for release on March 7 and is available for pre-order here.
The announcement comes after billboards with the album’s title and release date began appearing in major cities such as NYC and Las Vegas.Comprised of 14 tracks executively produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt and featuring producers such as Cirkut and Gesaffelstein, ‘Mayhem’ has been promised to reinvent Gaga’s “early sound with a kaleidoscopic approach that draws from her expansive musical library while embracing a fresh and fearless artistic perspective,” (as per a press release).“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” Gaga shared in a press release.
She also described the process of creating the album as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”Gaga is set to debut the LP’s third single and accompanying music video on February 2 during a commercial break at the 2025 Grammy Awards.Her last album, aside from the Joker 2 soundtrack and the ‘Harlequin’ companion album, was 2021’s ‘Love For Sale’ with the late crooner Tony Bennett, a close friend of the singer.her previous solo LP, was 2020’s ‘Chromatica’.
