A 'lack of transparency' around the devastating fire that destroyed the Mackintosh Building was blasted as it emerged the security company was replaced prior to the blaze.
Efforts to rebuild the iconic Glasgow School of Art building were also slammed as "regional prejudice", amid speculation that if the building was in Edinburgh more effort would have been made on the project.
The fire occurred in 2018 as the major restoration project at the A-listed building designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh was nearing completion following a blaze in May 2014.
Apollo Security Services were contracted by Kier Construction, who were appointed in June 2016 as main contractor to deliver the works for the £35 million restoration project.
