Kym Marsh works hard on toned figure as she prepares for Strictly launch show

Kym Marsh is hard at work training for Strictly Come Dancing.The 46-year-old star was announced to be one of this year's contestants for the long-running celebrity BBC dancing competition.

And the former Coronation Street actress has given her fans a glimpse into her training as she prepares to take to the famous dancefloor at Elstree Studios. Kym wears a baby pink gym top, burgundy, pink and black patterned skin tight gym leggings and striking blue trainers as she clasps a long pole doing some squats and overhead press exercises.She can also be seen holding heavy green weights as she practises her lunges as the video then cuts to a different scene showing the BBC Morning Live host at the leg press machine.Her hair was put into a tight bun as she exerted herself doing more excersizes on some of the weight machines as Lecrae & Andy Mineo's track, Coming In Hot plays in the background.This comes as it is rumoured there could be a major format change to this year's competition.Fans have been warned to expect a new theme in which all the dancers will be tasked to perform an intricate performance to some of the most iconic theme tunes from the BBC’s most famous shows to celebrate the centenary of the corporation.Two BBC-themed professional routines will take place starring the show's extensive roster of professional dancers across the series.One routine is understood to be dedicated to the broadcaster’s natural history shows with David Attenborough.
