Kym Marsh gives 'tearful' hospital update and says 'needed' after outing with former Strictly Come Dancing co-star

Kym Marsh has offered what appeared to be a tearful update as she shared the reality of her dad's cancer battle. The actress returned to hosting duties on Morning Live earlier this month where she shared some news about Dave Marsh's health.

The former Hear'Say star had been absent from the BBC One show for several months due to other work commitments, namely touring the country with the Take That musical, Greatest Days, but returned alongside Gethin Jones who told how Kym had received 'bad news' about her dad.

Kym revealed on the show in 2021 that he had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer and Dave also appeared on the show himself to help raise awareness and encourage others to go and get checked when they have concerns. She continued: "They are doing further scans to see if it's gone into any more of his bones but unfortunately they can't offer him chemotherapy," before she concluded: "So they advised us to go and spend lots of time with him and make lots of memories.
