Kylie Minogue has lent her Grammy-winning voice to read a children’s classic tale for CBeebies Bedtime Story. The Australian actress and singer, 56, will read Goodnight Moon by American writer Margaret Wise Brown and illustrator Clement Hurd during Friday’s episode.
First published in 1947, the story follows a little rabbit who is tucked up in bed in a big green room who is getting ready to say goodnight to all their familiar things one by one.
Minogue said: “It was a real pleasure to read Goodnight Moon as my first CBeebies Bedtime Story. Just like the bunny in the book who says ‘goodnight’ to all the familiar things in their room, I like to say ‘thank you’ to rooms that I’ve been in just as I leave.
Sweet dreams!” This is the first of two stories the Padam Padam singer has recorded for CBeebies, with details of her second story to be revealed.
