Kyle Chandler in Talks to Star in 'Lanterns' HBO Series - Role Details Revealed!
justjared.comKyle Chandler is in talks to star in HBO‘s Lanterns! The series is based on the Green Lantern DC comic. “No one is commenting but I hear Chandler is poised to play Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern character that was played by Ryan Reynolds in the 2011 movie,” Deadline reports.
The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, Earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.
The search for an actor to play John Stewart is still ongoing. “John Stewart and Hal Jordan are two of DC’s most compelling characters, and Lanterns brings them to life in an original detective story that is a foundational part of the unified DCU we’re launching next summer with Superman,” DC Studios co-Chairmen and co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran said at the time of the series announcement.
