Kristers Tobers reckons the 3,000 strong Red Army helped Aberdeen to get back to winning ways in the Premiership. Now he wants to repay them by giving them something to shout about come the end of the season.
The Dons support travelled south in their numbers and helped the Dons to win their first league game in 15 against Dundee last weekend.Tobers admitted: “I think the players need the support when it's the hardest times, so that's really important for us.
It really means a lot to us that the fans, even in harder periods when it's not going so well for the team, they are coming and supporting us.“I think that's really crucial for us as a team to be together, and when fans are supporting us in away games, 3,000 fans, it's just really amazing and I'm grateful that our fans are supporting us.
It puts a little bit of responsibility as well for us that they are driving from their homes and then maybe on a free Saturday or Sunday. “They are spending their time and then supporting us, it just puts us a little bit more responsibility to play also for them and just at least somehow pay back with a performance.”The ambition for Aberdeen is to return to Europe and they will want to remain in their current third place.
