Jim Goodwin's side stuck to a defensive game plan throughout the 90 minutes and looked to frustrate Celtic, but the Dons were eventually undone by a thumping effort from the Parkhead skipper.
It doesn't get any easier for Goodwin as Rangers make the trip to the Granite City on Tuesday as Michael Beale looks to continue his positive start to his time in the Ibrox hot seat.
