Kourtney Kardashian has opened up about her plans to have a family with new husband Travis Barker.The lovebirds, who tied the knot in a stunningly swanky Italian ceremony in May, had turned to IVF to have a child together.They spoke of their struggles to conceive on the first season of the Kardashians, with the Poosh founder explaining the toll that it had taken on her body.In a new interview, she revealed that they had decided to stop treatments recently to focus on other parts of their lives.When asked how their pregnancy journey was coming along, the 43-year-old said: ‘We started an IVF journey, but I stopped.
It was a lot. I took a break to just focus on our wedding and getting married.’Kourtney shares three children – Mason, Penelope and Reign – with former partner Scott Disick, while Blink-182 musician Travis, 46, is dad to children Landon and Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.They started dating publicly at the beginning of 2021 and shared the news of their engagement in October of that year, before tying the knot three times earlier this year.Because, why not?Much of the debut series of the Kardashians on Hulu focused on their efforts to add to their joined family, with the pair speaking with an Ayurvedic expert before going on an intense cleanse to ‘rid the tissue of toxins’ for ‘better quality eggs’.In the chat with Wall Street Journal, she revealed that she will be undergoing the cleanse once more.‘Probably this Ayurvedic Panchakarma cleanse, which I’m going to do in the fall again,’ she said of the most ‘extreme’ thing she’s done in pursuit of wellness. ‘It’s all these things you can’t do: No sex, no caffeine, no alcohol, no sugar.
