Kodaline’s Mark Prendergast shares advice after coronavirus diagnosis

Kodaline’s lead guitarist Mark Prendergast has opened up about his experience of contracting coronavirus and urged Irish people to take it seriously.

The musician spoke on 2FM’s Breakfast with Doireann & Eoghan and asked people to ditch the ‘be grand mentality’ to the virus.

He thinks he contracted COVID-19 coming through Heathrow Airport as he explained: ‘I am guessing I may have picked it up two weeks ago in Heathrow because I was in London… About 10 days ago I felt this very, very dry cough.’ ‘I was in my parent’s house and it was quite obvious that it was a new cough.

I just kind of got up and said to my Da, “I am going to go home, just in case!”‘ Discussing his symptoms Mark said: ‘I have never had a cough like it before.
