Scott McTominay believes the faith Manchester United show in young players has given Kobbie Mainoo the platform to make his eye-catching impact for the club this season.
Mainoo has become a regular in the side this term and the 18-year-old is now a mainstay of the midfield under Erik ten Hag, starting 15 of the last 16 games for the club and earning an England call-up in the process.
The academy graduate made his Three Lions debut against Brazil on Saturday night, coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes of a friendly at Wembley.
That was just the 24th senior game of Mainoo's career, which shows how rapid his rise has been, having earned opportunities in pre-season before suffering an ankle injury against Real Madrid in Houston.
