Community campaigners, two star footballers and charity champions are among those from Greater Manchester who have been recognised in this year's King's New Year Honours list.
Man United and England goalkeeper Mary Earps, dubbed 'Mary Queen of Stops' after this summer's World Cup, has been made an MBE for her services to football.
Campaigners who have fought for a better quality of life for their communities have also been recognised. These include Ehinor Otaigbe-Amedu, whose dedication to supporting single mums through her charity Wonderfully Made Woman, which helps deal with challenges from isolation to domestic abuse, has seen her honoured with an MBE. And Rachel Parkinson was recognised - her work with Humans MCR and their doorstep deliveries during the COVID lockdown ensued thousands of meals were delivered to those who needed them most.
