King Charles could be raking in a jaw-droping £1.4million annually from renting out royal properties across the UK, according to a recent study.The Royal Family boasts an impressive collection of properties, stretching from Scotland to Cornwall, many of which are rented out to members of the public during holiday periods.
Data gathered by holiday lettings experts, Pikl Insurance, suggests that the royals could be pocketing around £118,775.85 each month, totalling a staggering £1,425,310.20 per year from their holiday let portfolio.
Even when taking into account cancellations, the monarchy is still estimated to net an annual income just over £1.4million. Some of the key royal properties open to the public include Balmoral Castle, the Castle of Mey's Captain House, Restormel Manor and Dumfries House.
The research shows that the Royal Family's favourite summer getaway, Balmoral Castle in Scotland, brings in a hefty £36,798.30 per month after accounting for expected cancellations.
