King Charles gave a heartbreaking reply when he was asked to ‘bring Harry back’ during a royal visit on Thursday. The 74 year old monarch was visiting the University of East London's Stratford campus in east London for its 125th anniversary, unveiling a plaque and opening its new hospital and primary care training hub.

As the King shook hands with students and well-wishers who had gathered to see him, one man shouted out: "Bring back Harry please, can you please bring him back please, Sir?" The monarch appeared not to hear what was said at first and asked the man: "Who?" The well-wisher responded: “Harry, your son.” In a video published by MailOnline, the King initially laughs before saying: "It would be nice." Prince Harry’s relationship with the King and the rest of the Royal Family has been strained of late following the release of the Duke of Sussex’s tell-all memoir Spare.

The book brought a new round of attacks on the Royal Family - with criticism directed towards the King, as well as Prince William, Queen Consort Camilla and Kate Middleton.

This led to speculation over whether Harry, 38, and wife Meghan Markle, 41, would be invited to King Charles’ Coronation in May.
