King Charles has invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to his Coronation but according to reports the couple are yet to decide whether they will attend.
Speculation has been rife as to whether the couple, who stepped down as working royals in 2020, would get an official invitation to the May Coronation following months of scathing attacks on the family.
However, a Sussex spokesperson told the Times' royal editor Roya Nikkhah: “I can confirm The Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty's office regarding the coronation. "An immediate decision on whether The Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time." This comes after Harry and Meghan had their UK residence, Frogmore Cottage, taken off them by the monarch as he looks to work on a reduced budget. The move has been called a "big mistake" by one royal expert, who said it went ‘directly against the Queen’s style’.
It has been reported that Frogmore Cottage will instead be offered to Prince Andrew, 63, after it was revealed the Duke of York is set to be moved from Royal Lodge in Windsor Park, where he has lived since 2003.
