King Charles and Queen Camilla were all smiles as they enjoyed a stunning performance by the Military Wives Choirs charity.The Royal couple were treated to two songs in the Music Room at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, 11 December.The choir, accompanied by musicians from The Band of the Household Cavalry, performed their latest single November Sunday - penned for the King's birthday last month - and festive favourite We Wish You a Merry Christmas, under the direction of the Military Wives Choirs' Artistic Director Hilary Davan Wetton.

After the touching performance, members of the group had the opportunity to meet Their Majesties before leaving the Palace. This event follows the release of November Sunday last month, a tribute to His Majesty The King's 76th birthday and a reflection of the close ties between the Armed Forces and the Royal Family.The Military Wives Choirs charity was founded in 2012 after the success of the initial choirs in Catterick, Chivenor and Plymouth and the TV series The Choirs: Military Wives with Gareth Malone.

The charity now boasts nearly 1,800 women in 70 choirs across the UK and overseas, including locations such as the Falkland Islands, Cyprus and Canada.The choirs have previously performed at Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee and during The Queen's Speech in 2012.
