Kindhearted pupils' thanks to Lanarkshire café staff as era comes to an end

Five fabulous friends marked the end of an era with a thoughtful gift for the much-loved cafe staff who have fuelled their secondary schooldays.Adam Costello, Bailey Gallagher, Aiden Paterson, Aidan Rolink and Daniel Timoney have enjoyed lunch at Agnes’ Place in Airdrie town centre each day throughout their six years at nearby St Margaret’s High in the town.While they prepared for leaving school, they wanted to make sure they thanked their long-standing friends by presenting them with flowers – and have seen the delighted response attract hundreds of likes and comments on social media.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Now that they are all moving to different universities across Glasgow and Edinburgh, they plan to reunite regularly with each other and their cafe friends with continued trips to the Hallcraig Street cafe.
