'Kind of nobody took any notice', alleged victim told police, Rochdale sex abuse trial hears

A woman who alleges she was sexually abused by older Asian men as a teenager said 'nobody took any notice', a jury heard. The alleged victim, known as Girl B, said that her foster parent had alerted authorities about concerns over abuse.

Elsewhere in the interview, Girl B said that she 'didn’t realise at the time it was wrong' and believed the alleged abuse was 'just normal'.

Eight men deny a string of sexual offences including rape. The offences were allegedly committed against two girls between 2001 and 2006.

The alleged victims, who are entitled to anonymity, are being identified as Girl A and Girl B. Minshull Street Crown Court has been told the accused were mainly either taxi drivers or market stall traders in the town.
