UK chart-topper Phil Collins has seemingly pulled down the curtain on his long career, saying he has no wish to make any further music.

The former Genesis frontman and solo superstar, now 74, told MOJO magazine: “I keep thinking I should go downstairs to the studio and see what happens.

But I’m not hungry for it anymore.” Collins toured for a final time with his former band Genesis in 2022, but his frail physical health meant he performed from a chair on stage.

He told MOJO: “The thing is, I’ve been sick, I mean very sick.” Collins previously revealed that he suffers from type 2 diabetes and complications from a spin injury, also that he could no longer hold his drum sticks properly without feeling pain, even taping his sticks to his hands to get through later gigs.
