Tributes have poured in following the death of a "kind-hearted and gentle" radio presenter. Brian Moore, who worked at Rock FM in Lancashire before moving to the North East of England in the noughties, died aged 52 on Saturday (May 4), ChronicleLive reports.
Brian, who had been poorly since 2018 when he suffered a stroke, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Devon, his family confirmed on social media on Sunday (May 5).
The top radio presenter, who was a breakfast DJ at Rock FM, stayed on air for more than 62 hours in a marathon broadcast for charity from Blackpool in which he raised thousands of pounds for local children.
He moved to the North East to head up Metro Radio's breakfast show, where a team was built around him including Anna Foster, Catboy, and Marky Mark giving traffic updates from a helicopter.
