In January 2020, she sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty Inc. for $600 million, leaving her with about $540 million pre-tax, Forbes reported.However, Forbes published a scathing report later in 2020 with documents revealing that the business was smaller than the family claimed for years, estimating her worth as just under $900 million at the time and leading her to lose the billionaire title.Jenner still owns about 44% of Kylie Cosmetics.Kardashian, on the other hand, remains a billionaire — but her net worth has decreased since last year.
Compared to her current $1.2 billion, the reality-TV star had a net worth of $1.8 billion in 2022, according to Forbes.A majority of Kardashian’s fortune comes from her shapewear company, Skims, which raised $240 million in January 2022 and had a then-valuation of $3.2 billion.
Billionaires Stephen Mandel and Josh Kushner are investors in the brand.In 2020, Kardashian sold 20% of her other company, KKW Beauty, to Coty, Inc. — the same publicly traded company that Kylie Cosmetics was sold to — for $200 million.
