Derek McInnes says there's "no pressure" from either side to sign a deal with Gary Mackay-Steven. The former Scotland international has been training with Kilmarnock who has been a free agent since leaving Hearts in the summer.
McInnes remained coy on whether the winger who he worked with at Aberdeen would be penning a deal at Rugby Park. The boss insisted that talks are in early days and he's only training for now.He said: “He’s been in this week and last week.
Obviously, I’ve worked with Gary before.“I spoke to his agent in the summer and he was still coming back from his foot injury at Hearts.“He’s been in at Hearts training even though he’s not under contract and then just been keeping in touch.“Then a couple of weeks ago, Gary reached out to me and asked for training facilities and we were glad to help him.“I need to say, he’s been terrific.
He’s trained every day. He looks good and he’s shown his qualities.“You would have seen that if you saw any training, so we’re really pleased to get him in and help him out, but it is just a case of that at the minute, nothing more than that.“It’s still early days for Gary to be thinking about anything.
