KILLING Eve's writer has teased a ‘horrible revenge’ on Villanelle – with the team ‘left gasping’ by a brutal string of new murders. The third season of the hit BBC series has come out all guns blazing, killing off to key characters in the first four episodes.

GEMMA Whelan has accused Killing Eve critics of being biased that the show peaked once write Phoebe Waller-Bridge had moved on. The Game of Thrones actress who plays Carolyn's (Fiona Shaw) daughter, Geraldine, defended the series saying it was "outstanding".

KILLING Eve's boss has hinted the show will continue running without Villanelle or Eve - and promised a ‘bonkers’ season four. The hit BBC drama returned earlier this month and followed on from the aftermath of the season two finale which saw Villanelle (Jodie Comer) shoot Eve (Sandra Oh) in Rome and leave her for dead.

That seems to be the gamble that Killing Eve's new showrunner Suzanne Heathcote, taking over from Emerald Fennell, is taking for the BBC America series' third season. The first two scenes of Killing Eve's promising premiere — set at a gloomy gymnastics training session in 1970s Russia and a ravishingly elegant castle wedding in current-day Spain, respectively — feature exactly the kind of mischievously malevolent twists with which creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge distinguished the first season.

KILLING Eve's boss has lifted the lid on how Eve survived being shot by assassin Villanelle ahead of the season three premiere. Head writer of the popular BBC drama, Suzanne Heathcote, has opened up about season two's finale  which saw Villanelle shoot Eve in the back and leave her for dead.

The third season of Killing Eve will return to screens sooner than expected, the BBC has announced.
