A young drug dealer fled to Tenerife after fatally stabbing a 'much-loved' dad-of-two who had tried to rob him. Brandon Froggatt, from Derby, attacked Corey Duffy, 30, stabbing him four times in Cooper Street before escaping on an e-bike with the knife still in his hand.

The 21 year old then flew to Tenerife for a week before being arrested at East Midlands Airport when he returned to the UK, DerbyshireLive reports.

Following the horrific attack, Mr Duffy managed to stagger back to the bail hostel where he was staying in Bass Street before collapsing and dying.

In a victim impact statement, Mr Duffy’s former partner, the mother of his sons aged nine and five, told how she “has never felt so lost in my entire life”, adding “he won't be there on parent's evening, to cheer them on at football, help them choose their first car, first house and be there when they get their dream jobs.” READ MORE: BREAKING: GMP up powers in town after third knife attack in four days as violence between rival gangs escalates READ MORE: Mystery as man, 30, who crashed after driving off in night hasn't been seen since Judge Shaun Smith KC sentenced Froggatt, of Ashley Street, to nine years and two months in prison.
