A killer was branded the 'tenant' from hell before he murdered the man who tried to evict him. American national Chad Henderson used numerous excuses to avoid paying rent for months and became 'obsessed' with his tenancy rights.
He developed a 'siege mentality' and fortified his flat to defend what he over-dramatically described as a 'home invasion'. Father-of-one Nathan Burton attempted to evict Henderson on April 7, 2021.
The 27-year-old was licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and trained in conflict management. He attended the address in Woodhurst Road to remove Henderson once and for all.However, after he forced the door and climbed the stairs that were barricaded by a sofa, he was stabbed four times in the chest.
Henderson said nothing before he lunged at Mr Burton from over the banister with a hunting knife, reports Birmingham Live.As he stabbed the young dad, Henderson rhetorically ask: "Why are you here?
