Colin Spence revealed Irvine Meadow have their sights set on a top six finish in the West of Scotland Premier Division after bagging a big three points against the Blasties.
Connor Boyd’s double and a fantastic Mark McLennan free-kick took Meadow to within a point of sixth placed Hurlford who lost 1-0 at league leaders Auchinleck.
Medda have a game in hand over Ford - and with the side’s still to meet this season - co-boss Spence reckons opportunity knocks for his players.
He said: “It was so important to get three points against Kilbirnie because we want to try and break into that top six and see if we can stay there for the rest of the season. “It’s a strong top six, let’s be honest.
