Kieran Trippier has slammed Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy for the way they handled his Tottenham exit. Full back Trippier departed north London after four seasons, and 114 appearances last summer, as La Liga side Atletico Madrid signed him for £20million.
But Trippier has revealed that he was pretty much forced to leave Spurs after then manager Pochettino and chairman Levy refused to give him assurances over his future.
Trippier told The Beautiful Game Podcast : "Yeah, I did knock on his [Pochettino's] door, and I said I have an opportunity to go to Atletico Madrid. "If I am part of your plans, then I will stay.
