Kieran Tierney was labelled “exquisite” by Real Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil after an outstanding La Liga debut for his new club.
The 26-year-old Scotland and former Celtic hero has moved to Spain after being frozen out at Arsenal and made his bow in an entertaining 5-3 win over Granada, where he lasted 69 minutes before being subbed.
And long-term Sociedad manager Alguacil, who has been in charge of the San Sebastian club for five years, was impressed with Tierney.
He said: "For Kieran, our way of playing is very similar to Arsenal’s. He has enormous experience because he comes from a top team and a top league.
