Kieran Culkin Doubles Down In Building Out Family After Winning Oscar For ‘A Real Pain’

After dominating his category all awards season, Kieran Culkin completed the sweep Sunday, taking home the prize for Best Supporting Actor at this year’s Oscars.

After accepting from last year’s winner Robert Downey Jr. Culkin thanked several people including Jesse Eisenberg with the kindest compliment. “Thank you for this movie, you’re a genius, I will never say it to your face, so soak it up,” Culkin told the writer-director in his speech.

Competing against Culkin in the category were Guy Pearce from The Brutalist, Yuriy Borisov for Anora, Edward Norton for A Complete Unknown and Jeremy Strong for The Apprentice.

Culkin dominated the supporting actor category this award season, taking home accolades from the Golden Globes to the SAG Awards.
