A man has been charged after an 87-year-old pensioner was allegedly 'forced into a car, attacked, and thrown out on a dark road' 15 miles away.
The elderly man was reportedly forced into the vehicle on Lee Street in Oldham on Sunday, September 15. He was then allegedly assaulted and thrown out of the car on a dark road in Rishworth in West Yorkshire.
Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation into the incident. Shohad Miah, of Firbank Road, Royton, has now been charged in connection with the incident. Mr Miah has been remanded into custody. He is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court today (September 24), police said.
