Motherwell striker Kevin van Veen has praised manager Steven Hammell for his efforts at changing their identity to create a strong attacking team despite a tough run of results.

in the Scottish Premiership. Hammell came into the Motherwell hotseat over the summer, initially as caretaker before being appointed on a permanent basis under a month later.

Hammell has had time to implement his own style of play at Fir Park this season - creating a more attacking philosophy compared to previous boss Graham Alexander which has been well received by the players.

Things started well for the club legend but they have just one point from their last four matches - a 0-0 draw against basement side Dundee United.
