Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Former Rangers star Kevin Thomson has fired a joking warning to Steven Davis that there's a queue for the manager's role at Ibrox.

The ex-midfielder is working as a youth coach at the club and has often spoke of his dream of one day getting the manager's office one day.

And he also explained how he's got a dream in his head of how he wants his career to pan out with being gaffer at both Hibs and Rangers.

Davis is approaching the end of his career and has also spoke about potentially stepping into Steven Gerrard's shoes at Rangers.When asked about Davis' plans, he told PLZ: "Well if he wants to be the manager of Rangers he'll need to wait behind me."Davo's a terrific player, he's someone that I think really highly of.
