Kerry Washington is releasing a memoir that gives 'an intimate view' on 'public and private worlds'

Kerry Washington has announced that she will be releasing her own memoir titled Thicker Than Water later this year on September 26.

The 46-year-old Scandal actress, who recently paid tribute to close friend Oprah Winfrey in celebration of her 69th birthday, revealed to People that writing the book was, 'by far, the most deeply personal project I have ever taken on.'The mother of two has been nominated for countless awards throughout the course of her career thus far, such as two Golden Globes, and expressed that she hopes, 'readers will receive' her memoir, 'with open hearts.'  Latest milestone: Kerry Washington, 46, confirmed to People that she will be releasing her own memoir titled, Thicker Than Water, later this year on September 26; seen earlier this month in Paris The talented star confirmed the release of her memoir to People in an article published on Tuesday, the same day as her 46th birthday.  'I hope that readers will receive it with open hearts and I pray that it offers new insights and perspectives, and invites people into deeper compassion, for themselves and others,' Kerry expressed to the publication.
