Ken Bruce praised for 'genius' move as he begins first Greatest Hits Radio show but fans share issue

Fans have been left delighted as Ken Bruce made his way back onto the radio waves weeks after he signed off from his BBC Radio 2 show for the last time last month after more than 40 years at the organisation.

The 72-year-old Scottish broadcaster kickstarted his new role on Greatest Hits Radio at 10am on Monday (April 3). Fans will be able to listen to Ken every weekday until 1pm on the Bauer radio station where he'll play hit songs from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

He told Greatest Hits Radio listeners: “Quality music all the way… you’re going to love it.” He then kicked off his new show by playing Come Together by The Beatles – the opening track of the band’s Abbey Road album.
