Kelly Clarkson
Kelly Brianne Clarkson (born April 24, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter, actress, author and television personality. She rose to fame in 2002, after winning the first season of American Idol, which earned her a record deal with RCA Records. Clarkson's debut single, "A Moment Like This", topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the country's best-selling single of 2002. It was followed by the release of her debut studio album, Thankful (2003), which debuted atop the US Billboard 200. Trying to reinvent her image, Clarkson parted ways with Idol management and shifted to pop rock music for her second album, Breakaway (2004). After numerous top 40 radio number-one singles, such as "Since U Been Gone" and "Because of You", the album sold over 12 million copies worldwide and earned Clarkson two Grammy Awards.

Kelly Clarkson is so moving on - the original American Idol has announced that, after years of teasing, her new album Chemistry is finally on the way.

Of course, a new Kelly Clarkson is always cause for celebration, but this one especially has been eagerly awaited since it's rumoured to be Kelly's divorce album, following her separation from husband of eight years, Brandon Blackstock.

While Kelly has been keeping herself busy over the last few years - becoming one of the most beloved and in-demand talk show hosts in the US with The Kelly Clarkson show and keeping every pop gay on their toes with her Kellyoke cover sessions - she finally revealed over the weekend that, yes, her divorce album Chemistry is on the way...and its first single is coming sooner than you might think. "It is officially time to tell you that I've been working on this project for close to three years now.

I wasn't sure I was going to release it, but I am," Kelly shared in a video to her followers. "It's called Chemistry because I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing 'cause I didn't want everybody to think that I was just coming out with some just like, 'I'm angry.
