Keith Urban is Returning to 'American Idol' as Guest Mentor

On Friday (May 12), the singing competition series announced that former judge Keith Urban will be returning to the show as a guest mentor for an upcoming episode. Keep reading to find out more… The 55-year-old musician will be making his return to Idol as the guest mentor for the season 21 finale on Sunday, May 21. “Headed back to @americanidol next week !!!!!” Keith wrote on his Instagram Story. Keith served as a judge on Idol from season 12 through 15. Keith, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick Jr. were the last three judges of Idol before it was cancelled by Fox after season 15 in 2016.
