Keen gardeners will no doubt be in their element due to the recent warm weather in Scotland, with plenty of opportunities to get outside and reap the benefits of hard work.However, there's one certain pest that can be a real nuisance for gardeners - snails.

These creatures like to munch away on plants, leaving them ruined and destroying the appearance of your garden.It's often recommended that you don't use any harsh pesticides to deal with a snail infestation, as these can be toxic to humans and animals.

Instead, one cheap ingredient could do the trick, and the hack couldn't be simpler to carry out. The method was shared on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, in which hundreds of thousands of cleaning fans offer up their household dilemmas and share solutions on a daily basis.

One woman, who has recently been struggling with a snail problem in her garden, was keen to find out if there was anything she could do to banish the pests for good.
