Kaye Adams, 59, became the first contestant to leave this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing after three out of the four judges, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood voted to save Bros star Matt Goss for another week.

After having some time to process her exit from the BBC show, Kaye turned her attention to social media, where she valiantly defended herself after being called out by one disgruntled user. While many fans and celebrity faces praised Kaye on her valiant effort in the competition, user Hugh O’Donnell tweeted at Kaye: “Sadly the 6 million scots never voted for you, maybe it’s because you’re not that good.“Please don’t say you were put out because you’re ‘Scottish’.”The troll claimed the star's exit was due to her denying her Scottish heritage, but quick as a flash Kaye responded to the individual.Kaye replied: “I would never dream of saying any such thing, Hugh.“As I said last night on live tv, it was the right result.“Have a lovely day.”Shortly after, fellow Strictly star Jayde Adams also jumped to Kaye's defence, tweeting: “Another day, another clever woman on TV getting online abuse from men who disappoint frequently.”Reflecting on her Strictly experience and the way it came to an end, Kaye went on to post a video of herself, in which she said she had numerous “regrets” about the dance off.She said: “I have finally surfaced after the craziest weekend imaginable.

Obviously I’m gutted at myself that I panicked in that dance off.“I just panicked. And I have seen a few comments saying I looked like a rabbit in headlights and they were right.“I was.”Kaye went on to add that her professional partner Kai Widdrington tried “so hard” to keep her spirits up, but “ultimately [she] wasn’t able to.
