Katy Perry strikes $225 million deal for her catalog

Today (September 18), Billboard reports that Katy Perry has sold all five of her Capitol Records albums to Litmus Music, a catalog rights company, for $225 million.

The deal includes the master recording royalties and music publishing rights to One of the Boys, Teenage Dream, PRISM, Witness and Smile.

Litmus Music, which is under global investment firm The Carlyle Group LP, launched in August 2022 with $500 million funding.

Since then, it has acquired the rights to music by benny blanco and Keith Urban.
