Katy Perry narrowly avoided a disaster as she left Westminster Abbey following the Coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in London on Saturday.The US pop singer, 38, who is set to take to the stage on Sunday at the Coronation Concert, looked glamorous in a lilac two-piece skirt suit by late fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

She paired her outfit with a matching hat, gloves and a statement pearl choker. But thanks to the rainy weather on the day, Katy almost suffered an epic fall as she appeared to slip on the wet pavement.The star looked shocked as she tried to regain her balance in her white stiletto heels.

As a number of famous faces arrived at the Coronation, some royal fans were stunned to see Katy, who was joined by British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, 51.

Katy has met King Charles, 74, on several occasions over the years, with the pair first meeting in Mumbai in 2019.The second time she came face to face with the monarch was in early 2020, when it was announced she was an ambassador for the British Asian Trust.
